Ability to disable automatic .bak file creation

Maybe this is already a feature, but I couldn't find any documentation on it. I'd like to be able to disable the automatic creation of .bak files when I edit/save files in phpEd. I already have everything under version control in GIT, so the .bak files just get in my way.

That's odd, i've never seen phpEd create .bak files ?

Have a look in Settings->IDE Settings. 5th checkbox down of left column: 'Create backup files'. Unchecking this should sort it.
